Upcoming Events at EVO LOU

There are many things going on…this blog post shall consolidate them into one, happy, organized location.

Flex-Able Food Truck

What: Flex-Able food truck on premise

When: Tuesday, April 18, 2017

Time: 4 pm – 7 pm

Why should I go: Because their quinoa bowls will knock your non-existent socks right off.

Why aren’t I wearing socks? Because you’re wearing your climbing shoes.

Rick Thompson - Book Signing

What: Rick Thompson Book Signing

When: Tuesday, April 25, 2017

Time: 4 pm – 7 pm

Why should I go: Because Rick Thompson knows more than we ever will.

How? He’s been climbing for 40 years, has established more than 700 first ascents, and Shelf Road Rock is his 7th published rock climbing guide book. He was also the President of the Access Fund for 16 years. I could go on, but just click here for the full story.

Jon Sullivan - Anchor Building

What: Anchor Building Clinic

When: Wednesday, April 26, 2017

Time: 6:30 pm – 8 pm

Cost: $10 for members // $15 for not-yet-members

Why should I go: Because Jon Sullivan TOTALLY nerds out (in the best way possible) while teaching clinics. He’s also an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and has dog named Tundra who wears a pastel-colored-squirrel-patterned collar and loves everyone.

What does Jon’s dog have to do with this? Umm…nothing. I guess. Whatever!

Signup: Here. Limited to 6 participants.

Lorena - Orthomotion

What: “Shoulder Pain and Rock Climbers” Clinic by Orthomotion

When: Tuesday, May 9, 2017

Time: 6:30 pm

Cost: To be determined

Why should I go: Because we’re just a bunch of stubborn climbers who will continue to climb even if we’re injured, or continue to climb even when our bodies hate us. Lorena, Occupational Therapist of Orthomotion, will offer insight and exercises on preventing injuries, and talk about rehabilitation if you’ve already been injured.

Yeah but I’d rather ignore my pain, and pretend that it’s going to go away: Doh….

Signup: Coming soon.
