// FUEL YOUR NEXT WORKOUT WITH CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

You’ve seen the pyramid of fresh chocolate chip cookies at the front desk, or maybe you haven’t, as we’ve sold out of every batch (delivered three times a week) since April. Either way, the rumors are true: EVO arguably has the best chocolate chip cookies of any climbing gym in the country.*

Here is a brief guide on the best ways to enjoy your EVO chocolate chip cookie before, during and after climbing. We do, however, recommend that you purchase your post-climbing cookie(s) when you arrive to ensure you get one before we inevitably sell out at the end of the night.

Here are some of the ways to enjoy these tasty treasures:

BEFORE CLIMBING

Start your workout on a happy note with a chocolate chip cookie. While a cookie on its own is a great energy boost for short sessions, if you plan on climbing ropes or bouldering for 2+ hours, we recommend topping your cookie with your favorite nut butter long-lasting fuel. The healthy fats, protein and fiber in nut butters help slow your digestion of the cookie’s simple sugars, giving you sustained energy throughout your long workout.

DURING CLIMBING

Need workout motivation? Break your cookie into 4th or 5ths and “treat-yo-self” to a bite or two between routes or each time you send a new boulder problem. Training upstairs? Enjoy a bite after your weighted hangs and another “good job self” bite after your TRX ab routine. It’s like giving yourself a delicious pat on the back with the perfect carbohydrate kick to keep you energized for your next set of 4x4s.

AFTER CLIMBING

You’ve likely heard that a post-workout snack with a “4:1 carb to protein ratio” is ideal for recovery, and our cookies have you covered. Enjoy a carb-rich EVO cookie with a tall glass of milk or your favorite protein shake for a delicious post-workout treat.

KIDS LOVE OUR COOKIES, TOO

A post-climbing treat can be a great motivator to get your young climber to the top of the wall. Don’t want your child bouncing off the walls on a crazy sugar rush? Split a cookie with your child, ending a fun day on a yummy note for you both.
