Connective Heeling? Did you spell “healing” wrong?
Haha! Nope, it’s a pun, because I use mostly the heel/arch of my foot to apply the weight.
Does it hurt?
Since the client is the ‘person in control’ they decide how intense the session can get. Although with a comfortable, challenging weight the connective tissue will break down much easier.
Compare 30 seconds of intense stretching to days or weeks of chronic pain that lingers. The benefits that result from the practice exceed the short-term pain when applying weight onto tight muscles.
Since we are treating the source of the pain, mobility and relief are commonly felt immensely after each session. Results are noticeably immediate.

Why do you use your foot?
By using the foot to strategically anchor adhesions, the Practitioner can use their weight to facilitate tissue release; this gives the Practitioner more longevity within their practice and often faster results for the client. This technique can be done anywhere with the client fully-clothed and doesn’t require a massage table.
What are those poles you use, and why?
The Practitioner uses poles to add stability and accuracy while pinning a muscle. With extra support, the client can request more (or less) weight application.
