Learn to Lead: Sport
Sport climbing is one of the easiest ways for indoor lead climbers to transition from the gym to the crag. In this full day course, you’ll learn to read routes and mitigate risk while ascending and descending climbs.
Prerequisite: Participants must know how to toprope belay an have an understanding of basic rock climbing.
Learn to Lead: Trad
Colorado is home to some of the country’s finest traditional climbing. In this two-day course, you’ll build a base knowledge of gear placement and anchor building strategies that you can apply to climbing thousands of unbolted lines.
Prerequisite: Participants must know how to toprope belay and have an understanding of basic rock climbing.
Intro to Climbing
What better way to learn to climb than outside? Practice basic climbing techniques and risk mitigation on the rock and explore Leave No Trace practices. No experience necessary.
Gain hands-on experience setting up various types of toprope anchors and learn modernized rappelling techniques to better mitigate risk on the descent. Prerequisite: Participants must know how to toprope belay.
This half-day course is perfect for climbers who want a taste of bouldering outside on classic Front Range problems. Learn bouldering-specific skills, from pad placement and outdoor spotting to projecting and rest management techniques. All climbing levels welcome, as we can tailor the outing location and problems to the group’s interests and ability levels.
