Aerial Yoga Fundamentals Workshop

$40 – $50This workshop is a precursor to the aerial yoga classes we will be offering. The format is a 60 minute mat yoga class followed by 60 minutes of learning the fundamental components of aerial yoga allowing students to practice the “basics” necessary to move into poses (wrist wraps, footlocks, trusting the fabric etc.) It will be taught by Jessica Ferrer of Cirque Body.
Jessica has been practicing the movement arts of Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga & The Method pilates since 2000 as a continuation of physical and mental well-being after participating in numerous competitive sports since the age of 5.
Jessica majored in Human Physiology Boston University and is a graduate of the Muscular Therapy Institute (now Cortiva Institute-Boston). She is a nationally certified licensed Muscular Therapist in both Massachusetts & New Hampshire where her practice encompasses & integrates modalities such as Medical Orthopedic Massage, Thai Yoga Bodywork, Sports & Injury-related Therapy Massage, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy & Therapeutic/Relaxation Massage to provide a customized treatment for each client session. Her male & female client population range from age 3 to senior, non-athlete to professional athlete. Â She nurtures her passion for knowledge & teaching as a member of the faculty at Cortiva-Boston as well as a massage therapy consultant for Harvard University Sports Medicine Department.
With the Rasamaya Method studios, she is an instructor of Aerial Yoga & involved in the Rasamaya Teacher Trainings. She believes that bodywork & movement therapies (i.e. yoga, pilates) are life essentials for achieving & maintaining balance of mind, body & spirit through the integrated practice of presence, stillness, & mindfulness.
