Intro to Climbing
January 22, 2014 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Whether you are new to climbing and never belayed before, or just need a refresher course, our Intro to Climbing class will help you learn the basic skills you need to climb on a rope. You will learn the climbing basics – grading systems, technique basics, how to fit a harness properly and how to tie in and belay. To learn how to belay, you will need a partner, so it may be a fun experience to share with a friend or family member. After the instruction, you will have to pass a belay test, after which you will be free to climb for as long as you like. We will provide harnesses, shoes and a belay device that you are free to use for the rest of the day.
