Climbing Added to Tokyo Olympics in 2020

 In News

Today the International Olympic Committee (IOC) approved climbing as an event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, with the goal of attracting a younger audience. (Baseball/softball, karate, skateboarding, and surfing have also been added.)  As an event, the climbing contestants (20 men and 20 women) will compete in three categories: sport, bouldering, and speed. The competition will take place over the course of four days, and the winners will be determined based on his or her performances in all three disciplines. Thoughts? Comments? Concerns?
