// Strong Women Summit: RECAP

 In Climbing, Community

A few weeks ago, Evo sent a call out to the community, inviting people to join in a celebration of Strong Women. We were excited to gain support from like-minded organizations from all different venues of life – from outerwear companies to sexual consent education – all of whom similarly believed in a mission to bring down the barriers surrounding women in the outdoor industry. It wasn’t until we opened our doors and looked across the gym to see hundreds of women climbing, learning and uplifting each other that we realized this was more than just a celebration – it was a movement.

Women came from as far as Bar Harbor, Boston, New York and Connecticut – all different ages, walks of life and levels of experience. There were climbing grades and fears conquered and a new perception of community. The overall sense of love, unity and stoke was overwhelming as hundreds of women broke personal and social barriers. We left feeling uplifted, inspired, empowered and ready to take on whatever we set our minds to.

So THANK YOU to every single lady (and the supportive men) who came out to celebrate and learn with us. We will continue to raise the bar, push the limits and challenge societal norms. We are so proud to be a part of this evolution and we already can’t wait to host the next Strong Women Summit.
